Our Board-Certified Thermographers pride themselves in getting the report back within 10 – 14 working days.
Not at this time. Keep in mind that most cutting-edge technology is not covered in most fields of medicine.
That is between you and your doctor. Thermology / Thermal Imaging is an adjunctive procedure that offers extra physiological information that can be combined with other anatomical tests.
The cost for a breast thermogram is £255. Most agree this is a small fee to pay for the peace of mind or the early detection or warning of breast cancer so you can work with your doctor to protect your health.
We also offer full body exams, or just upper or lower body exams as required.
Take immediate appropriate action and be sure to consult with your physician and to follow up with secondary thermograms as recommended by the thermologist in your report. As inflammation is detected through the raised heat on the epidermis, thermology is able to help detect cancerous changes up to 10 years ahead of the standard mammogram. When screened early and at regular intervals, it potentially affords the patient time to make lifestyle changes to bring the body and the breasts back to a state of equilibrium.
Thermograms are infrared images that show the temperature of the skin irradiated by the underlying tissues. Inflammation has a heat signature which will be detected by the highly sensitive infrared camera.
About 90% of patients having breast thermograms also opt for a full body profile at the same time. The information from the report will reveal if any other areas of concern or dysfunction and may also show if your wellness regime is working.
Please help educate your doctor. Even the best doctors may think within their guidelines and reject or not be totally familiar with all the new technologies. Share information with them that they can download from the website or online from the medical journals.
With no suspicious findings most follow-up recommendations will be 12 months. Scans that need monitoring will suggest a follow-up scan in 3 – 6 months. If you are monitoring your overall health by way of thermograms, it is a good idea to be screened every 6 months until your health is stable. Annual wellness checks are recommended.
The purpose of the thermogram is to do a thermographic evaluation by way of thermal image to show hot and cold parts of the body as irradiated through the skin. Thermography has an accuracy greater than 99% for this purpose so there are no false positives. Heat can be present due to many factors. There is no such thing as ‘normal’ inflammation – all inflammation (excess heat) is as a result of pathological process or injury.
Yes, thermal imaging remains a safe adjunctive diagnostic tool even when you have a pacemaker. This is because thermal imaging uses a high tech camera system to capture the infrared rays in the form of the heat irradiated from the body, projecting this in a visual form of heat map. Thermal Imaging is a safe, passive, non-invasive procedure where the infrared camera does not interfere with or subject the body to any radiation, magnetic, radio or soundwaves like the other anatomical screening tools such as mammography, MRI and ultrasound.
