The personal information that you submit, such as on the appointment request form, is shared only with those people in our organization who need this information to respond to your question or request. Information submitted through our online forms may be collected to ensure technical functionality. It will also be utilised to address any inappropriate use of our website. We need to collect personal information about your health in order to provide you with our thermal imaging services and the best possible care during your visit and the imaging and reporting process.  Your requesting and our agreement to provide the service constitutes a contract.

We process your personal data on the legal basis of it being necessary in providing you, the patient, with our services as listed below. You are deemed to consent to this when requesting us to deliver our services.

  • Booking appointments and completing order requests for products, services or information.
  • Contacting you to confirm appointments and advising of the pre-imaging protocols which need to be adhered to prior to your appointment.
  • Re-scheduling or the processing of cancellations, returns or exchanges of products.
  • Tracking and confirming bookings and online orders.
  • Delivering a copy of your report and images – by email, unless otherwise specified.
  • Informational, marketing and advertising products and services
  • Conducting research and analysis

  • Establishing and managing your account with us (‘Account’ refers to your personal file, invoices and payments for services – we do not extend credit)

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

Personal data will be collected from users of our website and patients when contacting us directly by submitting contact forms or appointment registration or booking forms.

To enable ThermaVUE to provide the service requested by the user or patients, this may include

  • First and last name
  • Contact information such as email addresses and telephone number
  • Address including Postcode
  • Occupation/Job title
  • Marital status
  • Number of children and ages (and if currently nursing)
  • Name, Address & Email Address of your GP

Information about your general health such as but not limited to:

  • General medical history
  • Breast Health and concerns / symptoms
  • Dental information
  • Allergy information
  • Lifestyle and dietary behaviour – eg: Smoking / non-smoking
  • History of illness eg. Cancer, Heart problems etc.
  • Prior Mammograms and information on any abnormalities detected
  • History of any injuries, surgery or cosmetic surgery
  • Family history of illness

 

You have the right to see what personal data of yours we hold and you can request a copy for a nominal fee. To request this please email us at scans[@]ThermaVUE.co.uk with ‘Personal Data’ in the subject line.

 

A copy of your report together with your images will be sent to you or your Medical Practitioner by email – you should understand that the internet and emails are not necessarily secure from interception and so we cannot guarantee the security or confidentiality of such transmissions, however we will do our utmost to keep your information secure. Only those who have a legitimate reason for providing you with the service you have requested, will have access to your information with the sole purpose of providing that very service.

We will never sell or share your information with any 3rd parties who are not providing any part of the service we offer.

PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY

Whether you are visiting our website or one our clinic locations, we use reasonable security measures to protect the confidentiality of personal information under our control and appropriately limit access to it. We use a variety of information security measures to protect your online transactions with us. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of personally identifiable information that you may provide. ThermaVUE provides you with the opportunity to receive communications from us. You can sign up for a free email newsletter. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time.

Email communications that you send to us via the email links on our site may be shared with a customer service representative, employee, medical expert or agent that is most able to address your enquiry. We make every effort to respond in a timely manner once communications are received. Once we have responded to your communication, it is discarded or archived, depending on the nature of the enquiry.

It’s possible that your email communication may be accessed or viewed by another Internet user while in transit to us. If you wish to keep your communication private, do not use our email.
